My husband and I just returned from our vacation in paradise in the British Virgin Islands. We met in the Caribbean 13 years ago and do our best to squeeze in a trip to a different island every two years. We renewed our vows on our 5th anniversary in Barbados and decided to celebrate our 10th anniversary in Tortola.  As a kid growing up on the east coast, my family spent most Christmases in St. Thomas, so I feel like I'm returning home every time I head back to the Caribbean.

I've always love the pristine beaches, crystal clear water, the culture, the exotic cuisine and the friendly locals. Now as an adult, I have a new reason to love the Caribbean.....PAINKILLERS!!!!! 

The famous, or should I say infamous Painkiller is a blend of rum with 4 parts pineapple juice, 1 part cream of coconut and 1 part orange juice served over the rocks with a generous amount of fresh nutmeg on top. I promise you that one sip will transport you to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean and erase all the cares in the world.
